Scorched Earth Open GT - all the Details

We have made some changes since our original announcement


Here is a one stop shop for all the  details for this event


When: May 14-15
Registration starts a 9 am on Saturday. We will play 3 games on this day
Games 4 & 5 will be played on Sunday starting at 9 am


Where: Plaza del Rio Community Center
13216 North 94th Drive, Peoria, AZ 85381


Just off the 101, take Thunderbird west, 94th Drive will be on your left
(Next to Kindred Rehabilitation Hospital)




Format: Warhammer 40k event
1850 point armies
follow ITC army composition rules as posted at Frontline Gaming


Missions: ITC Mission Pack, missions 1-5 as posted at Frontline Gaming


FAQ - standard ITC, again Frontline Gaming website for easy access


Lunch will be provided on both days


Tickets $30 on sales now via PayPal to xchekk@aol.com
Total players will be capped at 54 due to space restrictions


Awards :
Best Overall (Tournament standing + Appearance Score + Sportsmanship)
Best General (Tournament Standing)
Best Appearance
Others to be announced later


Is there a painting requirement? No, but you will be scored harshly on appearance

Scorched Earth Open Going GT

I am wrapping up the details with the venue, but I am happy to announce


The Scorched Earth Open will be Arizona's First GT of the 2016 season
We will run 5 rounds over 2 days (Sat & Sun)


tickets are $30 and are available now via paypal at xchekk@aol.com


The event will once again be at the Plaza del Rio Community Center


Exact times and meal selection will come soon


Why the change?
Simply a reaction to the new ITC format grouping events into three tiers
We always wanted this to be a bigger event and we chose to go for it


We hope all of you support us by coming back this year

Rattler Cup 2016 is Here

Looking at the 2016 ITC schedule, we have three events lined up already for locals to Arizona


  • Mad Hatters 40k ITC Rumble, Tucson, AZ, March 26th, 2016
  • Mad Hatters ITC at Amazing Discoveries, Tucson, AZ, April 9th, 2016
  • Scorched Earth Open, Plaza del Rio Community Center, Peroia, AZ, May 14, 2016
All of these events will count towards the Rattler Cup season trophy

So we in the off season. Before looking ahead lets look at how some of our Rattler Cup players finished in the final rankings. Congratulations to everyone for a great season

  • Rattler Cup Winner Derek Page finished 15th overall out of 2100 players
  • Jaminh Vo finished 26th
  • Herb Shaffer finished 53rd
  • Scott Freeman finished 58th
